The first production cycle of Pelacañas rum was during the 2022-2023 sugar cane season. Of those first batches made, a portion of rum was laid down in ex-bourbon barrels. Over the next three and a half years, more barrels were added and organized into four tiers, creating the first solera system for Mexican rum.
The initial draw occurred in April 2026 and is fondly called Edition Zero. The beauty of a solera system is that it will continue for many, many years, giving us new versions of itself every time a batch is made. Celebrate with us as we enjoy the birth of a new legacy – PELACAÑAS SOLERA.
All 2,532 bottles of this delightful batch are out in the wild stay tuned for batch two coming soon.
